Warning Signs & Symptoms

Up to 75% of those with PAD do not display any symptoms. However the most common symptom of PAD is leg pain that occurs when walking or exercising and disappears when the person stops the activity.

PAD is considered a leading indicator for those at risk of Heart Disease and Stroke.

Other symptoms of PAD can include:

  • Numbness and tingling in the lower legs and feet.
  • Coldness in the lower legs and feet.
  • Ulcers or sores on the legs or feet that don’t heal.

Unfortunately, many people simply live with their pain assuming it is a normal part of aging.

PAD not only can cause gangrene and amputation if left untreated, it is also a strong predictor of those at risk for heart disease. A HealthyYES! screening can identify those at risk allowing time for proper treatment from their physician.

We invite you to make the decision to be proactive and join us for a screening event in your community.
