It is of the utmost importance to us to provide
screenings of the highest quality and level of service. We establish
and monitor quality in a variety
of ways.
-
We employ skilled technicians who have completed the formal training
necessary to perform ultrasound studies in a clinical environment
and have completed rounds in hospitals or other clinical environments.
Many of our technicians have decades of experience.
-
We contract board certified physicians including radiologists, cardiologists,
and vascular specialists to interpret your results.
-
We encourage our patients to participate in surveys to gauge the
overall quality of their experience.
-
We calibrate our machinery on a regular basis to insure accurate
findings.
-
Upon findings of significance at a screening event, we have other
technologists on-site view the results to verify the initial findings.
A second and third set of eyes, if you will.
-
We periodically have testing results and physicians findings reevaluated
by another board certified physicians to measure performance and
accuracy.
As with any non-invasive imaging technology, we will have some level
of false positives. This is inevitable whether we perform your test or
it is performed in a hospital or other clinical environment. Our goal
is to adhere to, or out-perform industry standards when it comes to false
positives. More importantly, we are focused on the consistent identification
of those with significant disease (greater than 60%). Non-invasive studies
that correlate with the gold standard 90% or more of the time are very
good.
